Frequently asked questions
Our pieces
Is each piece really unique?
Yes. Each piece in our collections exists in a single copy. Once sold, it remains visible on the website as an archive, and we can create a piece in the same spirit for you.
What is wild cotton?
A cotton that grows freely in the South of Madagascar, harvested by hand without chemical treatment, then spun and hand-woven by the weavers of Androy.
Why this price?
An Ain'Ampela piece means a rare material, hours of hand-weaving, plant dyeing, and cutting and finishing done at the studio. The price fairly rewards every step and every artisan.
Are prices shown in my currency?
Yes. Our prices are set in euros and automatically converted into ariary or dollars depending on your country, at the daily rate. You can change currency at the top of the page. The final amount is confirmed in your quote.

The studio in Antananarivo welcomes you by appointment.
How does Ain'Ampela support the weavers?
We have worked with the weavers of the Association Mpanenona d'Androy since our creation, on the basis of a fair collaboration. Our plan: to open a studio in Ambondro to give them a regular income.
