Fashion that does good, for those who wear it and for those who weave it
At Ain'Ampela, every piece is designed to have a positive impact, from the cotton harvest to the day you pass it on.
Four commitments
Keeping a Malagasy craft alive
The weaving of wild cotton is passed down from mother to daughter in Androy. By bringing it to the runway and into your wardrobe, we give it a future.
A fair collaboration with the weavers
We have worked with the weavers since the house was founded; they are grouped within the Association Mpanenona d'Androy. Their work is recognised, credited by name and paid at its fair value.
Local, natural materials
Wild cotton harvested by hand without chemical treatment, soga, linen, sisal, plant dyes: our materials come from Madagascar and respect the land they come from.
Made piece by piece, never in series
Every creation is a unique piece or made to measure, on demand. Nothing is overproduced, nothing sits in stock.
A studio in Ambondro
Our ambition: to open a studio directly in Ambondro, where the weavers live, to give them regular work and a lasting income without having to leave their village.
